Sales Manager – Northern England

QROS are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for an enthusiastic sales person to help us keep growing. Sales of the award-winning QED have been strong throughout the COVID lockdown period and an increase in demand is imminent.
This role is an opportunity for a good communicator to work in the exciting area of on site chemical analysis within the environmental industry sector, with an emphasis on highways.
This role includes generating sales leads via telephone, email and social media routes, face to face customer visits where possible, telephone/video meetings, demonstrating the analysers and attending conferences and exhibitions. Maintaining an up to date database of customer contacts, sales prospects and competitor activity is also a key function in this role. All COVID guidelines and regulations will be adhered to for the safety of everybody concerned.
The main territory to be covered is Northern England, but some flexibility will be required and travel to any part of the UK is possible. A driving licence is therefore essential.
The job requires a person with good organisational skills who is happy working from home without direct supervision, and wants to move into sales or is currently in a technical sales position. The main office will always be available for sales and technical support. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing person, ideally with a technical background in chemistry, environmental science, geology or similar, but the key attribute is willingness to learn, demonstrate and put in the hours.
This is a full time position offering a good basic salary with an expected sales commission of £10,000 per annum, but commission is not capped, so could be higher. A car can be provided, but a mileage allowance is also available for car owners.
