QROS will provide, for the duration of a contaminated land remediation or site investigation project, a chemist with the appropriate on-site analysers and methods. By providing results within a few minutes of taking the sample, the SI or remediation can be managed more effectively, saving time and money. This service is the most cost effective way to get on site analysis for short term contaminated land remediation projects lasting just a few days, or even one off projects lasting many weeks. QROS has a wide range of analysers and methods available that can provide analytical data suitable for managing most remediation and SI projects. QROS does not rent out equipment. Over many years of experience with on site methods, it was found to be more cost effective to hire an experienced user with the instrument. This ensures the instrument is used correctly. The equipment is also used to maximum efficiency, reducing the amount of time the instrument is kept on site. An experienced user is also more able to spot anomalies in the way the method is performing and resolve the problem on site.
Renting often means staff have to go on training courses to learn how to operate the instruments. If the instrument is not used frequently, the skills learned can quickly be forgotten. Training courses consume time that is not chargeable.
Having the experienced user also means the contractor can get on with their main task of managing the site investigation or remediation project, without having to juggle mixing chemicals, negotiating with on site personnel and making telephone calls at the same time.
